Two Daviess County residents were involved in an accident at Hwy. 69 at Vista Avenue, four miles north of Cameron at about 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred as Gayle Creighton, 57, Pattonsburg, was northbound and pulled to the shoulder as traffic ahead slowed for something in the roadway. A vehicle driven by Dwayne Stout, 33, Gallatin, also pulled to the shoulder and struck the Creighton vehicle in the rear. After impact both vehicles went through a fence and came to rest in a yard.
Gayle Creighton received moderate injuries and was taken by DeKalb County Ambulance to Kansas City North Hospital. She was wearing her seatbelt.
The 2003 Ford pickup driven by Mr. Stout received extensive damage and was towed by Bridgemans of Altamont. The 2004 Ford driven by Ms. Creighton was totaled and towed by Glenns of Cameron.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. M.A. Ott, assisted by Tpr. J.P. Angle and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
Summons was issued to Dwayne Stout for C&I and driving while suspended.
A Gallatin woman received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 4 a.m. on Friday, April 30, in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred as Darling Baker, 57, was southbound on 230th Street five miles north of Gallatin. She swerved to avoid striking an animal, went off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.
Mrs. Baker was taken to Cameron Community Hospital by private vehicle. She was not wearing her seat belt.
The 2003 Nissan Maxima received moderate damage and was taken to Walker Collision in Hamilton.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. Joseph R. Johnston.
A Trenton man was seriously injured in an accident on Hwy. 6, about one mile east of Altamont, at about 5:50 a.m. on Friday, April 30.
According to the Missouri High Patrol’s report, Floyd Adams, 63, was westbound on Hwy. 6, lost control, spun around, and traveled off the left side of the roadway backwards. The vehicle traveled down and embankment and struck a tree.
Mr. Adams was taken to Cameron Community Hospital by Daviess County Ambulance. He was wearing his seat belt.
The 1992 Olds was totaled and towed by Bridgemans of Altamont.
