An Independence woman received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on I-35
An Independence woman received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on I-35 about one mile north of Winston in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 2:50 p.m. on April 23, as Megan Pence was southbound on I-35. Her vehicle drifted off the west side of the highway, struck an embankment and came back onto the west shoulder of southbound I-35 where it came to rest upright on the shoulder.
Mrs. Pence, 21, was taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing her seat belt.
The 1994 Oldsmobile Achieva received moderate damage and was towed by Tarepin Tow of Winston.
Summons was issued for C&I driving by Trp. P.M. Kimball.
