The Gallatin FCCLA Awards and Installation Night was held on Tuesday, April 13
The Gallatin FCCLA Awards and Installation Night was held on Tuesday, April 13, in the Daviess County Library. Following the opening ceremonies by President Lindsey Robertson, Katie Patton gave the welcome. After the welcome, Whitney Body read the devotion. Katie Ward then introduced the keynote speaker for the night, Alan Lubert.
Mr. Lubert is the Community Outreach manager for the Ronald McDonald Houses in Kansas City. He explained to chapter members and their families about the Ronald McDonald Foundation and its cause. He also told about the upcoming project of building a third house in Kansas City.
The chapter then presented Mr. Lubert with blankets and pop-tabs. The blankets were made by chapter members and will be used in the Ronald McDonald Houses. The pop-tabs, collected by chapter members, Gallatin High School students, the community, and the Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron, help raise money for the Ronald McDonald Foundation.
Following the presentation, the meeting continued with a summary of the year’s events by Haleigh Tague and Allie Michener, the 2003-2004 public relations officers.
