Crystal Cook, Meghan Roberts and Felicia Nelson, from North Daviess, recently participated in the STAR Events recognition program at the State Leadership Conference of Missouri Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) in Columbia, March 28-30, at the Holiday Inn Select and Expo Center. Approximately 500 young men and women advanced to this state- level program in 15 skill events after receiving gold medals from the regional competitions.
Crystal Cook, a junior, received a silver award with an Illustrated Talk on Eating Disorders; Meghan Roberts, a freshman, received a silver award with an Illustrated Talk about Poverty; and Felicia Nelson received a silver award in Career Investigation about Catering.
These three students were accompanied by their advisor, Julie Leathers, who observed the presentation of their medals and certificates at a recognition session honoring all participants.
