Funeral services for Mary Berniece Troxel were held Saturday, April 10, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Old Scotland Cemetery, Jameson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Scotland Cemetery.
Mary Berniece Troxel, 93, Gallatin, died April 8, 2004, at the Lake Viking Health Care Center in Gallatin.
Mrs. Troxel was born Dec. 23, 1910 to Richard and Sally “Terry” Stretch in Daviess County, near Jameson. She attended the Old Scotland and Jameson schools. She lived on the farm until moving to town in her later years.
Mrs. Troxel was a member of the Old Scotland Church of Christ of Jameson and also attended church in Gallatin.
Survivors include one son, Gary Troxel of Trenton; one brother, Russell Stretch of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Rhonda Gentry, Lee’s Summit, Larry Troxel, Chillicothe, Norman Troxel, Columbia, Matthew and Cody Troxel of Trenton; six great grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.
