The North Daviess R-3 Board of Education issued teachers contracts during an executive session of a special meeting held Monday, March 22, at Coffey.
The board voted to renew continuing contracts of the following tenured teachers: Kathy Chandler, Gregg Hartley, Melissa Lowery, Mary McCrary, Rebecah Roberts, Keith Sarver, Linda Sarver and Sherise Steinman.
Tenured contracts for the 2004-05 school year, not to exceed 550 hours per year, were offered to Larry Heaps and Linda Phipps.
A tenured contract was offered to Roberta Pyles.
Contracts for the 2004-05 school year were offered to John Bruce, Jackie Gaddis, Dwight Higgins, Sam Karns, Becky Morris (Gene Morris abstained), Jolia Poltorak; Rhonda Sweet and Nicole Walker.
A three-sevenths contract was offered to Kim Fish; a four-sevenths contract was offered to Julie Leathers; and a half-time contract, not to exceed 500 hours was offered to Judith Slaughter.
Present were board members David Iddings, Donald Baker, Gene Morris, Chris Nelson, Debbie Ray, Beverly Hunter and Kelly Hightree; Superintendent Julie Kirby; Board Secretary Beverly Hunter; Todd Willhite and Sheri Steinman.
