Graveside services and burial for Doug Shipers, formerly of Gallatin, were held Monday at the Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Doug Shipers Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
Doug Shipers, 48, Trenton, died March 25, 2004, at Independence Medical Center.
Mr. Shipers was born Dec. 28, 1955, in Bethany, the son of Jack Orville and Ethel (Walker) Shipers. He graduated from Jameson High School in 1973.
Mr. Shipers was a truck driver for Nickerson Trucking.
On Dec. 13, 1981, he married Shirley Loucks in Gallatin. She survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his father, and an infant brother, R.L.
Other survivors include one son, Alan Shipers of St. Joseph; one daughter, Alicia Shipers of Trenton; his mother, Ethel Shipers, St. Joseph; one sister, Iona Tuller, St. Joseph.
