The insurance office of the Daviess County Farm Bureau received statewide recognition for excellent quality of service recently during the Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance Companies’ All Star Sales Conference.

The Daviess County office agency staff includes Mick Lewis, district sales manager, Lana Corwin, secretary, Justin Ishmael, career agent, and Adam Oswald, claims representative.

Mick Lewis and the office staff accepted the award from Ray Mabury, manager of sales for the Farm Bureau Insurance Companies. The office was one of 31 in the state receiving the honor, which is based in part on customer satisfaction.

The three-day conference was held March 5-7 at Lodge of Four Seasons, Lake Ozark.

Justin Ishmael receives insurance honors

Justin Ishmael, Daviess County Farm Bureau agent, achieved membership in the Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance Company’s Million Dollar Club. Ishmael is one of the company’s top agents qualifying for the award this year.

Ray Mabury, manager of sales for the Farm Bureau Insurance Companies, made the presentation during the company’s All Star Sales Conference.

Area young farmers attend Farm Bureau Conference

Several young farmers from Daviess County attended the recent Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Leadership Conference with over 500 of their peers from across the state. The group met Feb. 13-15 at the Lake of the Ozarks’ Tan-Tar-A Resort to learn about topics ranging from the beginning farmer loans to deer management and making candles from soybean wax. The conference is the largest Farm Bureau young farmer conference in the nation.

This year’s speakers included MFB President Charles Kruse, a farmer from Dexter, MFB YF&R Chairman Darin Schnarre, and American Farm Bureau Federation Excellence in Agriculture winner Matt Lohr, a young farmer from Virginia.

Local farmers and ranchers who took part in this year’s YF&R conference were Aaron Mason and Stephanie Mason.
