With the April 6 municipal and school board elections drawing nearer, only one county election had no one sign up to run — no one has filed for the four year term of District One board member for the Central Dispatch for Emergency Services.

Other issues facing voters include voting yes or no to renew the tax levy for Daviess County Special Road District. The levy is $.35 on the hundred dollar valuation, for a period of four years.

Alan Fender and Barbara Williams will compete for board member for Sub-District #2 of Public Water Supply District #4 of Livingston County.

Vying for mayor of the City of Coffey are Sonny Clutter, Marvin Heiber, Jr. and Walter Burnett.

The position of North Ward Alderman for Coffey is between Debra Baldwin and Lee Courter.

In Gallatin city elections, John Thomas will run against Gene Schweizer for the one-year term of mayor. The two year term of West Ward Alderman is between Lisa Gutzmer and Pat Baker. Running for the two year term of East Ward Alderman are Bud Kirkendoll and Doyle M. Patton.

Gene Caldwell is uncontested for the one year un-expired term of West Ward Alderman.

Local school board elections are each for two positions for three year terms.

Pattonsburg R-2 School District has three running: Tracy Crone, Lincoln Cornett and Cindy Mason.

Four people have signed on at North Daviess R-3: P.J. Burnett, Doug Baker, David Iddings and Marlene Griffin.

Winston R-6 School District sees Melvin Lee, Daniel R. Bridgeman, Bob Clark, Julie Lee Clark and Joseph B. Michael vying for openings on the board.
