Graveside service and burial for Viola Teel were held Sunday, March 14, at Creekmore Cemetery in Gallatin. Arrangements were by McWilliams Funeral Home of Gallatin. Memorials may be made to the Creekmore Cemetery.
Viola Teel, 94, Gallatin, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at the Lake Viking Health Care Center in Gallatin.
Mrs. Teel was born February 7, 1910, to James and Mae “Shepherd” Carey in Altamont.
She married Herman Teel on February 11, 1931, in Gallatin. They lived and worked on their farm until retiring in 1969. The Teels moved to Lake Viking where Herman died in 1976. Mrs. Teel later moved to Gallatin to make her home.
She attended the Gallatin First Christian Church.
Mrs. Teel was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Roy Carey; and one sister, Nora Olsen.
Survivors include one son, Marvin Teel of Gallatin; one daughter, Carolyn Shyler of Mansfield, Texas; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
