Funeral services for Marjorie Mendenhall, formerly of Coffey, were held Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was at Coffey Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Coffey Cemetery.
Marjorie O. Mendenhall, 91, Bethany, died Saturday, March 13, 2004.
Mrs. Mendenhall was born October 1, 1912, in Leon, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph Edward and Cora Elanor (Lowe) Brooke.
On October 1, 1932, she married Clifford Mendenhall in Trenton. He died on May 25, 1974. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Creede Brooke.
Mrs. Mendenhall was a homemaker and had formerly cooked at the Coffey school.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Jolly Neighbors Club. She was also a member of the First Christian Church in Coffey.
Survivors include one son, Robert; two daughters, Joan Shain and Kay Salmon; two sisters, Cleo Grady and Edith Foster; one brother, Deane Brooke; six grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
