Funeral services for Helen Jackson, mother of Marvin Jackson of Jamesport, were held Saturday at Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Helen M. Jackson, 81, Savannah, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in her home.

Mrs. Jackson, a homemaker, was born April 17, 1922, in King City, and was a lifelong Andrew County resident.

On Oct. 15, 1940, she married Clifford Jackson, who preceded her in death in 1989.

Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Union Star, where she was an elder. Other memberships include Jolly Music Makers, Jubilee Singers and Andrew County Senior Center board of directors.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Iva (Gibson) Smith; and one brother, Guy.

Survivors include six other sons, Wayne of Corydon, Iowa, Willis of Helena, Mike of St. Joseph, Ed of Burlington Junction, Ken of Savannah, and Craig of Kansas City; four daughters, Iva Baker of Union Star, Linda Bollinger of Topeka, Kan., Patricia Siudara of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Pam Trimmer of Savannah; one sister, Mary Alice Campbell of St. Joseph; one brother, Virgil Smith of King City; 26 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
