Felony forgery charges were filed Feb. 27 against Justin D. Vance, 26, Kingston. Vance allegedly stole checks and issued one to the Gallatin Pamida store on Dec. 29, 2003. Pamida reported the forged check on Jan. 9. The Clay County Sheriff’s Department had earlier received a report that the checks had been stolen.

Richard W. Welch, 33, Gallatin, was arrested March 2 on a probation warrant from Green County on an original charge of felony stealing. He also had misdemeanor warrants in DeKalb, Grundy, Clinton, and Polk counties.

Danny Lutz, Pattonsburg was arrested March 4 on a parole warrant on an original charge of DWI, and he was transported back to the Missouri Department of Corrections.

A 38-year-old Des Moines, Iowa, man was arrested March 4 for misdemeanor no valid license. He posted $150 bond.

A 29-year-old Trenton woman was charged March 5 with no valid license. She posted $150 bond.

A 19-year-old Jamesport man was charged March 6 with misdemeanor DWI. He posted $500 bond.

A 43-year-old Trenton woman was charged March 6 with failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks. She is being held at Ray County Security Housing on $150 bond.

A 45-year-old Excelsior Springs woman was arrested March 6 in Carroll County on a Daviess County warrant for misdemeanor passing bad checks. She posted $250 bond.
