Enrichment students in Gallatin celebrated Gifted Education Week Feb. 23-27. The students made posters for the hallways and signed cards for all of the faculty members. They also did some special activities in Mrs. Burns’ and Mrs. Bonderer’s third grade classrooms.

All teachers and their students were invited to visit the enrichment classroom. A door prize drawing was held for teachers and staff who visited the room. Nancy Andrew won a breakfast basket filled with muffins and cocoa mixes.

Enrichment Family Night was held on March 1. Over 30 people were in attendance. Enrichment students and their families dressed in western-theme clothes such as jeans, boots, cowboy hats and bandannas.

The enrichment students played a mystery game called “The Case of the Stolen Buckle.” The students role-played fun characters and used clues to solve the mystery. The students also had fun barrel racing and bronc riding on a stick horse. A western hot dog dinner was served.

Sandy Boland, Anita Riley and Linda Houghton helped with Family Night.

“We appreciate everyone who helped with Family Night and those children and their families who attended,” said Kim Brammer, enrichment teacher.
