A Lake Viking couple were injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1 p.m. on March 9 in Clinton County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred as Carroll Greenall, 75, Lake Viking Terrace, Gallatin, was northbound on I-35 at Rt. PP in Holt and ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck the guardrail, slid along the guardrail, and struck a bridge support. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels.
Mr. Greenall received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by the Holt County Ambulance. Betty Greenall, 74, received serious injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital by Holt Ambulance. The were both wearing their seat belts.
The 1996 Mercury was totaled and towed by Dawson’s Towing of Holt.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. C.A. Taibi Jr, assisted by Sgt. S.L. Eberhard; Sgt. L.M. Allen, Tpr. J.P. Angle, Troop A Sgt. R.C. Fletcher, Cpl. B.A. Kumpf, Trp. G.D. Primm and Tpr. S.M. Salfrank.
No summons was issued.
