According to MFA Oil Company President Jerry Taylor, the MFA Oil Foundation has awarded a grant to the Jamesport Junior Livestock Show Fair Board. The foundation, which was established in 1999, provides support to nonprofit organizations that are working to improve communities where MFA Oil has a significant concentration of members and employees. The grant was earmarked to replace panels at the livestock show facility.

Mr. Taylor described the MFA Oil Foundation as “a program that allows our company to give support back to the small towns and rural communities that are the foundation of our business.” He said focus for selecting grant recipients is on three areas: programs designed to build knowledge and leadership skills of rural youth; agricultural and cooperative education programs; organizations active in addressing and solving community problems and improving the quality of life. MFA Oil is a farmer-owned cooperative with more than 40,000 members.
