Energy assistance available at local community action agency

Additional state heating assistance funds and energy crisis funds are available for eligible households in the Green Hills Community Action Agency (GHCAA) service area. If you are having difficulty paying your heating bill, you may be eligible for funds to meet the costs of heating your home.

GHCAA is taking applications through March 31 for state heating assistance for those who are still eligible. The agency also has energy crisis funds to assist those households with a shut-off notice who meet income guidelines, and will take applications for that program until funds are depleted.
