Marilyn R. (Cunningham) Sanders, 72, Raytown, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services for Marilyn R. Sanders, a native of Coffey, were held Monday, Dec. 8, at Missouri Funeral Care in Raytown. Graveside services were Dec. 9 at Coffey Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to Kansas City Hospice, 1625 W. 92nd St., Kansas City, Mo., 64114.
Marilyn R. (Cunningham) Sanders, 72, Raytown, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. Sanders was born on April 27, 1931, in Coffey.
Mrs. Sanders retired from the Joe Herndon Area Vocational School on June 30, 1996, after 26 years with the Raytown School District.
She was a member of the Coffey Baptist Church as well as the Spring Valley Baptist Church of Raytown. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Marguerite McNair Chapter, Raytown; Raytown School District Retired Personnel; and Keenagers at Spring Valley Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey Cunningham and Dolah Beatrice (Tunnell) Cunningham Johns; one brother, Zane Cunningham, who was killed in France during WWII; and one granddaughter, Jill M. Sanders.
Survivors include her husband, Ray E. Sanders, of the home; two sons, Mark E. Sanders of Raytown, and Clint R. Sanders of Clinton; one daughter, Gena Davis of Blue Springs; one brother, Kent Cunningham of Jameson; one sister, Cynthia Hamilton of Centralia; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
