Funeral service for Leona Leutzinger, a native of Altamont, were held Sunday, Feb. 29, at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. Interment was at Graceland Memorial Cemetery, Cameron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cameron Regional Medical Center Foundation.
Leona J. (Smith) Leutzinger, 92, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at a Cameron nursing facility.
Mrs. Leutzinger was born on June 24, 1911, in Altamont.
She taught for approximately 20 years in the Cameron-Osborn areas where she was a lifelong resident.
She married Irvin W. Leutzinger on May 24, 1947, who preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2003.
Mrs. Leutzinger was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Florence Smith; a brother, Hubert Smith; a sister, Francis Smith; and two sons, Donald and Ronald Leutzinger.
Survivors include one daughter Carol Arthur, Osborn; and two grandchildren.
