Funeral services for Alice Clampitt were held Saturday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin. Memorials may be made to Harrison County Community Hospital, Bethany; or First Christian Church, Gallatin.

Alice Clampitt, 82, Gallatin, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at a North Kansas City hospital.

Mrs. Clampitt was born May 29, 1921, to Glen A. and Clara B. (Solomon) Guinn and was raised in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

She was employed as a waitress for many years. Later she lived in Wichita, Kan., where she cared for her mother until her death, and also worked as a seamstress until retirement. She then moved to Missouri to be near family.

Mrs. Clampitt was a member of the First Christian Church of Gallatin.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one granddaughter.

Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Moore, Gallatin; one son, Andrew Sturdivan, Raytown; three sisters, Maybelle Brown, Rogers, Ark., Clara Irwin, Shreveport, La., and Elnora Kolar, Healdton, Okla.; two brothers, William Guinn, Joplin, and Glen Guinn Jr., Ponca City, Okla.; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
