Gallatin Clubs

Lake Viking Homemakers Club met on Feb.12 in the lower level of the clubhouse. Hostesses were Marion Larrison and Shirley Leaky who decorated in a Valentine motif. The hostesses furnished meat, bread and drinks. The rest of the members brought a covered-dish. The meeting was opened by Joyce Becerra, secretary. Devotion was given by Joy Wilstead with a quiz on presidents and a story, “Where There is Love.”

Shirley Leakey read a poem, “Wings of Love.” Motion to approve minutes was made by Betty Cooksey and seconded by Mary Ellen Barker; motion carried. Members discussed ways and means to tell and show the public history of Lake Viking. A volunteer group is working on this project. We also now have a Lake Viking Homemakers Welcome Committee. Chairpersons are Marion Larrison and Shirley Leakey. Lions Club gave a 2003 thank you certificate for our support. Our next meeting is March 11. We eat at 12 noon. Sharen Lutter will be our instructor for craft projects. Everyone is welcome. For information call 663-3474.
