Ernest W. Bell, Jr., 59, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Feb. 14, 2004.

Mr. Bell was the son of Ernest W. & Veda (Bullock) Bell, Sr. He was born March 6, 1944, in Camp Atterbury, Ind. He resided in Weatherby from 1978 to 1997. He attended the University of Florida.

Mr. Bell had been an airline pilot before retiring. He was a former pilot for football coach Ray Graves. Mr. Bell also participated in Desert Storm with Evergreen Airline where he transported troops and supplies.

He was a member of Punta Gorda Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Tina of Punta Gorda; and two sons Ernest (Trey) Bell III of Ft. Worth, Texas, and William Bell of Georgetown, Washington, D.C.
