It is crucial that residents return their assessment sheets to the office by March 1 to avoid penalty. If property valued at $9,001 or more is delinquent on assessment, a $100 penalty will be assessed. Penalties for property valued less than $9,001 are on a sliding scale. Only 51% of the assessment sheets have been returned.
