On Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, five Gallatin High School students traveled to Truman State University in Kirksville to participate in the Truman Sate Honor Band, under the direction of Rusty Raymond. Attending were Haleigh Tague-percussion; Sean Wood-tenor saxophone; Katie Heldenbrand-oboe; Kayce Corwin-bass clarinet; and Jenny Youtsey-clarinet.

The Honor Band performed: River of Life, Robert Sholdon; Ave Marie, Franz Beibl/Ballenger; Der Traum des Oeghus (Dream of Angus), Rolf Rudin; The Circus Bee, Fillmore/Foster.
The students ended the evening by attending a Truman State Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dan Peterson.
