Funeral services for Dorothy Stitt were held Saturday at the Roberson Funeral Home in Pattonsburg. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Pattonsburg.
Dorothy Stitt, 95, Pattonsburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004.
Mrs. Stitt was born April 26, 1908, in Harrison County, the daughter of Chester L. and Ethel (Brannan) Salmon.
Mrs. Stitt was a homemaker and sold Stanley Home Products.
She was a member of the Coffey Baptist Church.
On March 30, 1929, she married Clyde R. Stitt in Bethany. He died on Nov. 28, 1989.
Mrs. Stitt was preceded in death by two daughters, Zoe Huff and Anita June Stitt; three sisters, Zella Blessing, Ocie Foster, and Nathalie Reed; five brothers, Ralph (Cotton) Woodson, Lloyd Quinton, and Joe Salmon; and two great-grandchildren, Melanie Amber Chaney and Mathew Benjamin.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Stitt of Altamont, and Clyde R. Stitt, Jr. of McFall; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
