A memorial service for Alice M. Linville will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton or Gallatin School Libraries in care of McWilliams Funeral Home, Gallatin.
Alice Marie Linville, 79, Gallatin, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Linville was born Sept. 6, 1924, to Roy and Louise “Rempfer” Meyers in Cameron. On Oct. 10, 1942, she married Archie Linville in Gallatin. They lived on the family farm west of Gallatin for 56 years.
Mrs. Linville was employed at Stride-Rite Shoe Factory for many years and Lambert Mfg. Co. in Gallatin. She and her husband owned and operated Linville Building Supplies in Gallatin.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Linville was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Jones in 2001; and one sister, Ruth Hauger in 1998.
Survivors include her husband, Archie of the home; three daughters, Connie Dixon, Patty Richardson and Carol Cline, all of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
