Funeral services for Harry L. Linville, formerly of Gallatin, were held today (Wednesday) at Muehlebach Funeral Home, with interment in Brooking Cemetery. Harry L. Linville, 87, Independence, died Feb. 1, 2004, at Rosewood Nursing Home.
Mr. Linville was born on Feb. 4, 1916, and was raised in the Gallatin area. He had lived in the Kansas City area for over 60 years.
Mr. Linville was a pipe fitter and factory worker with Butler Manufacturing for 36 years, retiring in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Sharon Kay, a sister Myrtle Bell, and a brother, Willard Linville.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Linville; one son, Bob of Lenexa, Kan.; one daughter, Joyce Crowder of Richmond; two sisters, Ethyl Stevens of Gallatin, and Ann Adams of Lawson; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
