Funeral services for Helen Crabtree, a native of Pattonsburg, were held Saturday at Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Helen Bonnidean “Bonnie” Crabtree, 90, Kansas City, formerly St. Joseph, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, in Kansas City.
Mrs. Crabtree was born Aug. 16, 1913, in Pattonsburg. She was the valedictorian of her high school class.
Mrs. Crabtree worked as a bookkeeper for the former Hecker Electric. She and her husband also owned apartment buildings in St. Joseph. She retired in 1978 and moved to Warsaw. She had lived with her daughter, Janet, for the last six years.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in St. Joseph.
She was married to Eugene “Gene” Crabtree for 65 years. He died on Feb. 26, 1998.
Mrs. Crabtree was also preceded in death by one brother, Harley Garrison.
Survivors include her twin children, son, Garry, Raytown; and daughter, Janet Glannon, Kansas City; sister, Hallie Robertson, Hamilton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
