Dec. 31, 2003, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Twelve years ago this month, December 1991, Roger and Norma Huffman moved back “home to Missouri” after having lived and practiced in Southern California for almost nine years. They had learned of a chiropractic office for sale in Gallatin, but when they arrived in town, it had already sold. However, they liked Gallatin so well that they settled here anyway and eventually began their practice.
When asked about their time here in Gallatin, Norma said, “Northwest Missouri has been good to us. The people are so friendly. It’s been a good place to practice, and we will miss seeing the people who came to our office. I hope some of them will stop by our house once in a while to visit. We feel they are our friends.”
Upon retiring, the Huffman’s plan to pursue their interests in genealogy, put their 1929 Mercedes kit car in shows and parades, and do some traveling. They would really like to take another trip to England.
Roger shared that, “It is with a great deal of affection that we view our time in practice in Gallatin. We wanted to make sure that the good will that was generated throughout our twelve years here would be something that our successors would build on. We feel secure that Dr. Jimmy and Cindy O’Rourke will prove to be a tremendous asset to the community.”
The community is invited to attend an open house at Huffman Chiropractic Center, 122 N. Market Street, anytime from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday, Dec. 31 to wish Roger and Norma well in their retirement. Refreshments will be served.
