football teams for Class 1.
For the first time since 2001, the Gallatin Bulldogs are represented on the Missouri all-state football teams for Class 1. Seniors Colby Swanstone and Tyler Nichols each received all-state honors from both the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association and the Missouri High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA).
Swanstone, who hauled in 62 passes for 983 yards and 8 touchdowns, was a first-team pick on both all-state squads. Nichols, who led the Bulldogs in tackles with 157, received first-team recognition by the coaches association and a second-team honor from the media.
The Class 1 team selected by coaches included over 130 players selected for first team, second team and honorable mention recognition from MHSFCA member schools. The team picked by sportswriters and sportscasters included 47 players statewide.
