Homemakers Club; Knee-Hi 4-H Club
The Knee-Hi 4-H Club met on Nov. 12 at the Christian Church Fellowship Hall. Sarah Emerson led the Pledge of Allegiance and Jamie Tummons led the pledge to the 4-H flag. Roll call was taken and Secretary Kaley Sheldon read the minutes from the last meeting. Wren Tolen gave the treasurer’s report.
The club will be going to the Lake Viking Health Care Center at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, to sing Christmas carols. Upcoming activities and dates were discussed. Valentines will be made for the nursing home at the January meeting. Breanne Brammer gave a health tip and Alicia Chrisman handed out recognition awards as part of the program. The next meeting is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
The Lake Viking Homemakers Club met at noon on Nov. 12 in the lower level of the clubhouse. The meeting was brought to order by President Nedra Eichler. Hostesses were Betty Cooksey and Neva Feigly. Decorations were in a Thanksgiving theme. Shirley Leakey made a motion to put in the bylaws to pay one dollar a month or once in January. For the new year, new members do not pay back months. Joy Wilsted seconded the motion, which carried.
Name tags are not necessary now. The words “covered dish” were added to Article 6, Number 3.
Club donations given in December went to Green Hills, Daviess County Health Department, Kids’ Kamp, and the senior citizens. The program by Mary Lounsbery was “How to use stamps to make cards, photo albums, etc.” Betty Cooksey read a cute poem, “Little House Out Back.”
