City Administrator Toby Dougherty discussed the natural gas system with the Gallatin Board of Aldermen during their regular meeting held Monday, Nov. 10. Mr. Dougherty informed the board that the properties for lift stations may be acquired within the next month. After the lift stations are acquired, the sewer project can be bid out and construction may begin in early spring.
The County Commission Acceptance agreement was approved by the board, with the provision that the county will take over the maintenance of the ground floodlights.

Mr. Dougherty informed the board that the properties for lift stations may be acquired within the next month. Chief Wycoff discussed the Citizen Safety Forum, a series of seminars for citizens of the Gallatin area. The seminars will provide information on criminal justice and other areas of concern to the public, including identity theft.
Kim Cornett inquired about Teen Beat during public comment. Mayor Thomas will put Teen Beat on the Nov. 24 agenda for discussion.
Bills in the amount of $104,515.40 were approved for payment.
Mayor Thomas commented about painting parking lines on the streets around the square. Mr. Dougherty said that the paint is on order, and the repainting of the parking lines should start soon.
Discussion was held on the 2004 Utility Budget.
