One bridge design approbed; preliminary plans set for another

County Commission

Randy Railsback, Green Hills Regional Planning Commission, met with the commission updating them on current projects.

Ron Walker, Extension Council, met with the commission regarding their 2004 budget requests. He reported the council’s desire to obtain an ag-engineer as priority. The commission agreed that if the second position is added, it will be funded.

Notice was received from Missouri Department of Transportation that the preliminary design for project BRO(23), bridge 45500071, has been approved.

Marshall Jones, Norris Aggregates, met with the commission informing them of the new owners of the Martin-Marietta Quarries.

A request for funds was received from the Green Hills Women’s Shelter.

Shannon Howe, Shafer, Kline and Warren, met with the commission submitting the preliminary plans for BRO project (24), bridge number 3490019. The plans were signed to be forwarded to MoDOT for approval.

In the afternoon the commission, accompanied by Shannon Howe, SKW, inspected the bridge site for BRO(24) in Benton Township.

James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting on routine matters.

Bills were audited and paid.
