Winston R-6 Board of Education reviewed and approved the auditor’s report for the 2002-03 school year
The Winston R-6 Board of Education reviewed and approved the auditor’s report for the 2002-03 school year at their regular meeting held Oct. 16.
The sealed bids for the school van were opened. The van sold for $176.
The board discussed rental of the school gym for dances. The decision was tabled until the next board meeting.
A preliminary annual performance report was reviewed
The At Risk Report and School Climate Report were approved
Elementary Principal Lisa Bielby reported an enrollment of 119 in kindergarten through sixth grade and 20 preschoolers with a 95% attendance rate for September.
High School Principal David Michael reported an enrollment of 86 in grades 7-12 with a 93% attendance rate.
The board reviewed the calendar of events and adopted two new board policies.
Discussion was held on issuing contracts for non-certified staff, instead of notices of employment.
