A new tourist information booth at Winston Truck Stop off Exit #61 along I-35 is evidence of a new effort to promote communities and points of interest along Highway 6 to those visiting Northwest Missouri. More than 40 area businesses are participating in the “Highway 6 Corridor” project.
This new information center is actually the second in operation. Over a month ago the first visitors’ information center was positioned near the Hwy 6 and Hwy. 65 junction in Trenton. More work to make the centers more attractive, using an Old West theme, will follow.
Those interested in placing promotional brochures and materials at either center location are invited to do so. There is no restriction; you can place fliers, advertisements or whatever you like for display at these information centers.
This project involves the Gallatin Area Revitalization Association (GARA). If you have any questions or wish to get involved in the “Highway 6 Corridor” project, call Dave Wilson at Sandman Motel in Gallatin, 663-2191.
