Boy Scout Troop 67 held a Court of Honor on September 15, at the Methodist Church. Scouts were presented with badges they had earned this past summer, including:

Jonathon Arnold – archery, basketry, wood carving, rocketry; Phillip Arnold – emergency preparedness, environmental science, swimming; Mitchell King – archery, rifle shooting, swimming; Billy Kerns – crime prevention, fingerprinting, rocketry, environmental science, swimming; Kevin Corwin – crime prevention, fingerprinting, rocketry, swimming;

Andrew Pierce – cooking, wood carving, swimming; Daniel Pierce – aviation; Logan Corwin – art; Nick Rutherford – emergency preparedness, environmental science, swimming; Bradley Jones – emergency preparedness, environmental science, swimming; Nathan Tague – swimming; Tim McCann – Citizenship in the Nation, Family Life.

New troop officers were announced as follows: Nick Rutherford and Phillip Arnold – Den chiefs for Cub Scout Pack 67; Kevin Corwin – troop historian; Billy Kerns – scribe; Mitchell King – quartermaster; Bradley Jones – Dragon patrol leader; Andrew Pierce – Cobra patrol leader; Nathan Tague – Shark patrol leader; Tim McCann, Daniel Pierce, and Logan Corwin – troop guides; Jonathon Arnold – Senior patrol leader.

Several Troop 67 members attended the Fall Rendezvous for the Crossed Arrow District at Camp Farwesta in Stewartsville on September 6 and 7. The weekend was crowded with many activities, including a tomahawk throw. Those who attended were Jonathon Arnold, Phillip Arnold, Nick Rutherford, Kevin Corwin, Mitchell King, and Bradley Jones.

Jubilee 2003, “Freedom Fest”, will be held October 17-19 at Mahoney State Park, Nebraska. Over 15,000 Boy Scouts are expected to attend the celebration. This is a more accessible opportunity for the Scouts in northwest Missouri to meet with Scouts across the country and share scouting experiences.

There will be merit badge workshops, hot air balloons, theatrical productions, and many other thrilling activities for Scouts and their leaders to try.
