Relay for Life raised over $11,000, according to Marie Toney, whose group was in charge of the events held Sept. 6-7 on the Gallatin town square.
Relay for Life Talent Show was sponsored by Bill and Vera Nelson and family. The talent show raised $65 and provided great entertainment.
Talent winner were as follows:
7 and under winners were:1. Kailey Salmon, daughter of Will and Natalie Salmon, and Aubrey Burns, daughter of Brant and Tara Burns, both of Gallatin, “Let’s Twist Again”; 2. Chloe Simmons, daughter of Dennis and Kelly Simmons, Gallatin, singing “I’ve Got Peace”; 3. Grant Simmons, son of Dennis and Kelly Simmons, Gallatin, singing “Burning Love.” Others participating were Mariah Sunderland, daughter of Terry and Gayla Sunderland, Bethany, singing, “Soak Up the Sun”; and Liberty Jane Cox, daughter of Jeff and Terria Cox, Chillicothe, and Ruthie Mae Vinson, daughter of Michelle and Rob Vinson, Chillicothe, singing “I’m a Little Tea Pot.”
8-12 winners were: 1. Chandler Kristen Brooke Newman, daughter of Jerald and Kelley Uthe, Winston, singing “Love Can Build a Bridge”; 2. Sydney Elbert, daughter of Shelley and Chris Elbert, Kaley Esbeck, daughter of Barney Esbeck and Robin Esbeck, both of Gallatin, hip-hop dance; 3. Bo and Jack Malo, sons of Chuck and Anita Malo, singing “We are the Bulldogs.”
13-17 winner was Emily Michener, clogging to “Footloose.”
18 and over winners were: 1. Cathy Coleman of Bethany, singing “Feel the Nails”; 2. Jessica King, daughter of Cliff and Donna King, singing “Blue.”
