Laureate Delta Rho Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi members met on Aug. 25 for beginning day of the 2003-2004 season with a pool party at the home of Barb Irby. Plans were announced for a Christmas Homes Tour to be held on Dec. 7. We will miss Maxine VanDyke, a member of 48 years. Maxine has moved to California to live with her sister. A dinner and roast was given in her honor on July 7 at the Darby House in Cameron. Donations were approved to the Relay for Life fund-raiser and for Patrick McBroom’s expense fund. Our second meeting of the year was held Sept. 8 at the home of Peggy Noel. Peggy gave a tour of her perennials and water garden. Next meeting will be to the Nebraska Furniture Mart on Sept. 22.
