In State of Missouri vs. Harold L. Johnson, on a plea agreement, charges were amended to the Class A misdemeanor of driving while revoked, and the Class A misdemeanor of driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to county jail for 1 year on each count, sentences to run consecutively, execution of sentence suspended. Johnson received two years probation under court supervision, 15 days shock incarceration on each count, to run consecutively, as a condition of probation. Defendant was ordered to pay court costs.
Mindy M. McGinnis had previously plead guilty to possession of a controlled substance, Class C felony, attempted manufacture of a controlled substance, Class B felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, Class C felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and filed. The defendant was sentenced to 7 years on the first count, 5 years on the second count, and 4 years on the third count, sentences to run concurrently. The court retains jurisdiction under Section 559.115 RSMo. and recommends institutional treatment. The defendant was allowed to remain on house arrest until Nov. 12.
In State vs. Leona De Vor Wortham, the defendant entered a guilty plea to the Class D felony of unlawful use of a weapon. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.
Braden K. Polley admitted probation violations. His probation was revoked, and he was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for 5 years on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance, Class C felony, from April, 2001.
On a plea agreement, Albert Dean Curtis plead guilty to Class D felony nonsupport. He received a suspended imposition of sentence, and was placed on 5 years probation under supervision of the state board of Probation and Parole.
Teresa Ann McCaslin plead guilty to Class C felony nonsupport. The imposition of sentence was suspended, and McCaslin received 5 years probation under supervision of the state board of Probation and Parole
On Sept. 12, Judge Warren McElwain granted divorces to Sheila Marie Estes from Gerald Ray Estes and to Dovie Leota Loftin from Gerald Joseph Loftin.
On Sept. 12, in State vs. Mira A. Huffman, heard by Judge Barbara Lame, the defendant entered guilty pleas to both amended counts, Class C felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor displaying motor vehicle plates of another person. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.
In State of Missouri vs. April Jo Myers, the trial date was set for Nov. 13.
On Sept. 16, Judge Brent Elliott granted Ralph C. Hall a change of venue to DeKalb County on
charges of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, Class D felony of unlawful use of a weapon, and Class C misdemeanor following too closely.
