Funeral services for Audra Searcy were held Friday at the Bram Funeral Home, Maysville. Burial was at Alta Vista Cemetery, Weatherby. Memorials may be made to the Alta Vista Church.
Audra E. (Carson) Searcy, 93, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at her home near Weatherby.
Mrs. Searcy was born September 11, 1909. She attended school at Weatherby and lived her entire life in rural Weatherby.
Mrs. Searcy married Steve Searcy on April 12, 1926. He died on July 5, 1990.
She was a member of the Alta Vista Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was the secretary/treasurer of the Alta Vista Baptist Cemetery Association for 21 years.
Mrs. Searcy was preceded in death by two children who died at birth; and two brothers, Melvin “Kit” Carson and Cleo Carson.
Survivors include one son, Raymond Searcy, of Weatherby; two sisters, Mildred “Midge” McKinley, Winston, and Wilma Carroll, Cameron; four grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
