Funeral services for Melvin Graber were held Monday at the Jonas Hostetler residence. Burial was at Meadowview Cemetery, Jamesport. Arrangements were by McWilliams Funeral Home, Jamesport.

Melvin Graber, 78, Jamesport, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at his residence near Jamesport.

Mr. Graber was born Oct. 15, 1924, in Berne, Ind. He married Sarah E. Schrock, Dec. 20, 1945, in Mark Center, Ohio They moved to Jamesport in 1968. They were married for 57 years. Sarah preceded him in death in 2002.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Eash; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

Mr. Graber was a member of the Jamesport Amish Church.

Survivors include four sons, Moses, Menno and Leander, all of Jamesport, and Melvin Jr. of Loganville, Wis.; 10 daughters, Emma Elizabeth Yutzy, Rebecca Sue Kramer, Anna Mary Kramer, Leona Hostetler, Margaret Kauffman and Sara Ellen Kauffman, all of Jamesport, Rachel Rose Gingerich, Nappanee, Ind., Martha Miller, Loganville, Wis., Ada Mae Gingerich, Chillicothe and Marjorie Shetler, Mountain Grove; one brother, Jacob Graber of Jamesport; two sisters, Betty Wagler, of Sarasota, Fla. And Ada Troyer of Orrville, Ohio; 85 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.
