A hearing will be held August 14, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. at the Gallatin R-V High School in the superintendent’s office at which citizens may be heard on the property rates proposed to be set by the Gallatin R-V School district, Daviess County. A copy of the budget is available for public inspection in the superintendent’s office. The tax rates which the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2003, shows to be required from the property tax. Each tax rate is determined by dividing the amount of revenue needed by the current assessed valuation. The result is multiplied by 100 so that the tax rate will be expressed in cents per $100 valuation.
