Joseph Hubbard of Gallatin has been awarded the Charles and Thelma VanBuren Scholarship at the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources for the 2003- 2004 academic year.

Joseph, a junior majoring in agricultural business management, is the son of Doug and Patricia Hubbard.

The Charles L. and Thelma VanBuren Scholarship was established in 1982 by Thelma VanBuren. Scholarships are provided annually to students in agronomy, animal sciences, agricultural economics and agricultural engineering.

The land-grant college offers degrees in 15 disciplines to over 2,000 undergraduate students.

Julie Macy of Gallatin has been awarded the Wurdack Scholarship at the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources for the 2003-04 academic year.

Julie, a senior majoring in biochemistry, is the daughter of Greg and Barbara Macy.

The Wurdack Scholarship was established in 1965 in the will of Hugo Wurdack. This fund has provided valuable financial assistance over the years for students pursuing a course of study in agriculture, food or natural resources.

The land-grant college offers degrees in 15 disciplines to over 2,000 undergraduate students.
