Funeral services for M. Dean Bickford will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, at Lake Viking Community Church. Visitation is from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial will be at Lake Viking Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Harmony Christian Union Church, Cameron.
Myrlin Dean Bickford, 68, Lake Viking, died on Aug. 5, 2003.
Mr. Bickford was born on Oct. 9, 1934, in Burlingame, Kan., to Claude and Mildred (Matson) Bickford.
He worked for Ford for 31 years, and was also a minister for the Christian Union Churches.
Mr. Bickford married Mary Evans on Aug. 15, 1954, in Long Beach, Calif. She survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1978.
Other survivors include three sons, Michael of Cameron, Mark of Excelsior Springs, and Mitchell of Lathrop; four daughters, Jodee Bickford of Lake Viking, Beth Caldwell of Winston, Tiffany Taylor of Orrick, and Diane Shellenbarger of Wathena, Kan.; his mother, Mildred Helverson; one sister, Claudine Herbert of Independence; 16 grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.
