Showstoppers Dance Company hosted their 25th National Dance Competition in the Municipal Auditorium in downtown San Antonio

The Showstoppers Dance Company hosted their 25th National Dance Competition in the Municipal Auditorium in downtown San Antonio, Texas, July 15-19th. The National Competition hosted thousands of dancers from all 50 states from ages one to 40. The dancers were judged on their technique, stage presence and costumes.
The dance studio qualified at regional competitions at Kansas City and Aurora, Ill. The dancers performed in the recreational division. The judges included professional dancers and choreographers from the Rockettes, Broadway and Hollywood.
Dancers were represented through Gayla’s Dance Studio/Dance Essentials. Instructors that accompanied the students were Heather Cole, Vera Nelson, Jen Lee and Paul Bruinsma. The students will be performing the national selection during the Chautauqua in Gallatin. Dancers included:
