The Winston R-6 School District will begin classes for the 2003-2004 school year on Tuesday, Aug. 19. School will begin at 8:15 and dismiss at 3:04. The following is a calendar of events for August.
Aug. 11 — softball practice begins; 12th — registration for seniors, juniors, sophomores and elementary; 13th — registration for freshman, eight grade, seventh grade and elementary; 14th — registration for new students and elementary; 18th — teacher-in-service; 18th — back to school dinner at 6:30 p.m.; 19th — first day of school; Aug. 26th — softball game Jefferson boys, away, 6 p.m.; Aug. 29th — softball game Gilman City, away, 6 p.m.
Again this year the school district will offer season passes for each sports season. The cost will be $2 for adults and $1 for children. The charge at the gate will be $3 for adults and $2 for children. Season passes for softball must be purchased by Aug. 22. To purchase your season pass, please contact the superintendent’s office.
