Brian D. McCrary, Jamesport, was among those listed as members of the 81st Recruit Class of the Highway Patrol.
Thirty-seven people reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy on June 29, 2003, to begin the 27-week training required to become a trooper. The 81st Recruit Class is scheduled to graduate on January 10, 2004. As of July 16, 2003, 32 recruits remain in the class.
The average age of the members of the 81st Recruit Class is 27.84 years. Of the recruits, nine have some college experience, two have earned associate’s degrees, four have more than 60 hours of college credit, 14 have bachelor’s degrees, two are working on master’s degrees, and one has earned a master’s degree. Seven have worked in law enforcement and 11 have prior military experience.
