Michelle Chadwick, Erin Croy and Hattie Rains of the Gallatin FFA Chapter participated in the 2003 Missouri FFA Public Speaking Academy held June 17, 18 and 19 on the campus of Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg.
During the three-day event, FFA members used the Internet and communication technology to develop and refine an effective speech. Each student presented his or her speech at the conclusion of the academy.
Hattie Rains received third place in the beginning division. Erin Croy received fourth place in the advanced division.
More than 40 FFA members and advisors from across Missouri attended the fourth annual academy.
