Daviess County Relay for Life

Relay for Life Sept. 6-7

The 2003 Daviess County Relay for Life ‘500′ will be held from 12 noon Sept. 6 until 6 a.m. Sept. 7 on the Gallatin town square.

Racing for a Cure is this year’s theme for the Relay. The calendar of events includes the following:

12 p.m. – Survivor’s dinner at the Gallatin Senior Center sponsored by the Gallatin Rotary Club;

1 p.m. – Opening ceremony; survivor introductions and walk; family and friends walk; relay team participants begin walking the courthouse square; silent basket auction on display under the tent;

2 p.m. – Baby Show;

3 p.m. – Mic-O-Say Dancers and Talent Show;

4 p.m. – “Queen of the Relay” introduction of contestants;

5 p.m. – Toney family performs;

6 p.m. – “Queen of the Relay” crowning ceremony;

6:30 p.m. – Rochelle & Strictly Country perform;

8 p.m. – Luminary ceremony;

9 p.m. – Todd & Rita; night games;

6 a.m. – closing of the relay.
