Rosemary Towne White, 75, of North Platte, Neb., died Monday, July 7, 2003, at GPRMC in North Platte.
Funeral services for Rosemary Towne White will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, at Adams & Swanson Chapel in Nebraska. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, south of Maxwell, Neb. A memorial has been established in her name.
Rosemary Towne White, 75, of North Platte, Neb., died Monday, July 7, 2003, at GPRMC in North Platte.
Mrs. White was born Aug. 17, 1927. She was raised in the Wellfleet, Neb., area where she graduated from Wellfleet High School with the class of 1945.
Ms. White taught school for one year in Maywood. On Feb. 16, 1946, she married Gaylord Towne in Oberlin, Kan. They owned and operated Towne Conoco in North Platte. He died on Oct. 12, 1979. She married Dallas White on May 8, 1980 in Hot Springs, SD. The couple owned and operated Rambler Motel and Drive A Dent car rental for 14 years, retiring in 1996.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marguerite Aylesworth and Frances Prosser, and one brother, Earl Foster.
Survivors include her husband of North Platte, two daughters, Marsha Lippstreu of Maysville, and Gayle Anderson of Ft. Collins, Colo.; two stepsons, Dallas White of North Platte, and Monty White of Gothenburg; one sister, Elinor England of Kearney; one brother, George Foster of McCook.10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
